Braden Forest Becomes 5th Swindon School to Embrace Pickleball
Bradon Forest School has become the fifth school in the Swindon area to introduce Pickleball into its physical education curriculum, marking another exciting step forward for youth engagement in this rapidly growing sport.
Sarah Evans, Head of PE at Bradon Forest and a keen advocate for the game, reached out to Swindon Pickleball Club (SPC) for help in getting the sport up and running. With the generous support of leading equipment supplier Diadem, SPC was able to provide a fantastic starter package to launch the school’s Pickleball journey.
Bryan Saunders from SPC formally presented a set of paddles and balls to Headmistress Sarah Haines, alongside Sarah Evans and two enthusiastic students, as part of a small handover event at the school.
Founded in 2023, Swindon Pickleball Club has quickly grown from a small group of local enthusiasts into a leading advocate for the sport across Wiltshire. The club now supports schools, community groups, and local events to make Pickleball accessible to all ages and abilities.
Anyone interested in trying out Pickleball—whether a school, community group, or individual—is warmly encouraged to get in touch with SPC at swindonpickleballclub@gmail.com to learn more and join in the fun.
